Understand how you can contribute and how funds are used

The Community Crisis Center relies upon a number of sources for funding, including local, state and government grants, United Way dollars, grants from private foundations, corporate philanthropies, service clubs and faith institutions, and cash donations by businesses, faith and service groups and individuals. Given the uncertainty of public funding, we hope to increase support from individuals, businesses and foundations.

Donations to the Community Crisis Center support the thousands of individuals who come to us each year in crisis situations by allowing us to fulfill our mission to advocate for a healthy, non-violent environment for all people. We provide counseling, shelter, support and referrals to other resources as needed by each individual who contacts us.

$21 will provide a week’s worth of bus tokens that are distributed to homeless clients in our economic crisis program to help them get to work, school or appointments.

$43 will purchase milk for three days for women and children living in our emergency shelter.

$110 will help pay for utilities (gas, electricity and water) for one day in our approximately 20,000 square-foot facility that includes a shelter for up to 40 women and children and space for 60 on-site staff who provide services to more than 6,200 clients each year.

$240 will cover the cost of training and continuing education materials for volunteer advocates who respond when a victim of sexual assault or domestic violence arrives at area emergency rooms.

$351 will provide 24 hours of professional coverage for our crisis line.

$900 will provide two weeks of counseling, legal and medical advocacy, case management, life skills classes and shelter services for a woman and her child staying in our emergency shelter for reasons related to domestic violence.

Contributions from individuals may be directed toward general operating expenses, facility and maintenance needs, or our endowment fund. For a printable copy of our donation form, please click here
