Donate goods and/or services to support our shelter and programs Our shelter houses up to 40 women and children and our Economic Crisis Program serves walk-in clients who often need emergency assistance with food and personal hygiene items. In-kind donations provide a much needed resource for our agency. Click here for a current needs list. Call us at 847-697-2380 if you are planning to deliver a donation. Please note that we do not accept used clothing as we do not have adequate storage. We have occasional needs for such items as office-quality shredders, specific and up-to-date computer hardware or software, or new or gently used kitchen items or furniture for our transitional living program. We also have seasonal needs, such as school uniforms for children, holiday gifts for clients, blankets for homeless clients or winter wear for shelter and walk-in clients. For more information or to speak with someone about arranging for a food or supply drive on our behalf, please contact our Resource Development Office at 847-697-2380. Emergency Food Pantry: available 7 days a week to those in need when other area food pantries are closed. Last year our Emergency Food Pantry provided 16,828 meals to 990 individuals. 3,666 referrals to partnering food pantries were given to 2,082 individuals. It is clear to us that people in our community are hungry and we believe that it is a responsibility of our organization to provide the most basic of needs to people regardless of their situation.
